Original oil painting printed on gallery quality cotton paper by Cornwall artist Mila May.
Lovingly painted from Mila May's Cornwall art studio located in historic harbour town Falmouth.
Guided by the simple principle of pure enjoyment and playfulness, Farm Hay Bales is a nod to a sweet summer travelling through whimsical British countryside, experiencing the terrains slow slumber.
Why it's a Best Seller
Inspired by childhood summers idling in the French, Italian and British countryside, Farm Hay Bales art is part of Mila's new calming countryside collection- exploring memories associated with countryside dwelling.
Summer holidays consisting of walking overgrown footpaths through open fields, small holdings and farms. Adventuring by, through, and over, stacks of hay-bales ready for winter crop.

Frames & Framing
I’ve pressed pause on offering frames for now. Too many arrived damaged, and the quality didn’t feel quite right. I’m currently sourcing solid wood frames (walnut, most likely) and hope to offer something truly lovely soon.
In the meantime, I’ve put together a framing guide of my favourite stockists — good quality, thoughtfully made and available to ship worldwide.

Mila May giclée fine art prints are created using a traditional, artisan French printing process — the only internationally recognised method for true fine art prints. I’m proud to offer my work with this technique because it delivers outstanding quality and colour every time.
Giclée printing uses 12 premium pigment inks, each carefully sprayed onto high-quality cotton archival paper.
Unlike standard printing, the pigment sits on the surface rather than soaking in, giving the prints rich, vibrant colours and a luxurious texture that lasts for decades.
Buying art online can feel tricky, you want to know the paper’s quality, make sure the detail is apparent, and know how vibrant the colours will be. That’s why all my fine art prints are printed in my Cornwall studio on Hahnemühle Cotton Paper, a luxury archival paper trusted by artists worldwide.
Why Hahnemühle?
Made in Dassel, Germany, this premium, sustainable cotton paper meets the highest archival standards, certified by independent institutes. Naturally acid-free, it perfectly enhances giclée inks, delivering colours that are rich, vibrant, and long-lasting, all while being an eco-conscious choice.
Original Work
For my original paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces, I enjoy experimenting with materials such as plywood, wood board, naturally dyed paper and linen. Each surface adds its own texture and depth, making every artwork truly one of a kind.
Struggling to find large-scale artwork that fits your home? In 2024, I expanded my collection to offer larger print sizes.
My oversized prints and original paintings work well framed in pine, oak, or walnut, and suit spaces from boutique homes to hotels, delis, and wine bars.
You can now shop Mila May prints in A4, A3, A2, and A1. For details on sizes and paper finishes, in comparison to your interior spaces and homes, please take a look at my visual Art Print Size Guide.
Giclée fine art prints in sizes A2 and A1 arrive rolled in a recyclable kraft postal tube for maximum protection.
A4 and A3 fine art prints arrive flat in recyclable card packaging.
Original artworks, drawings and paintings are wrapped in sustainably-sourced bubble wrap and packaged with layers of Kite cardboard.
All works are shipped and delivered internationally via trusted couriers.
